| 英文描述 | This disease causes considerable economic losses in the turkey industry by affecting hatchability and poult quality. Caused by Arizona serotypes of SALMONELLA. Spread by contaminated eggs, rats, reptiles, wild birds, feed, and fomites. Lesions are generalized septicemia; peritonitis; retained yolk sac; enalarged liver; and cecal cores. Air saculitis and micro-abscesses in lungs or brain are reported. Dx is by lesions and isolation of the bacteria from liver, yolk, and heart-blood. Outbreaks in chicks and ducklings are uncommon. |
